Meals Designed
for Gathering
At Fuchsia, I offer meals designed for gathering. Custom, creative, and fresh courses meant to slow down time at your table. I do this by crafting menus specifically for moments you wish to create—meals that taste delicious and look beautiful on the plate.

My culinary journey began as a market researcher. Early on, I worked with KitchenAid’s brand and marketing teams to unearth insights as to why people cook. After visiting countless home cooks’ kitchens, interviewing chefs, and ideating with food scientists and industrial designers, I was hooked. KitchenAid understood, and I agree, that cooking is about how you feel when you create something special to share with those you love.

From Research to the South of France
Fast forward, I sold my research firm and took a unique opportunity to pause. I headed to the South of France for an experience that transformed me: Gastronomicom International Culinary School.
From those chefs and teachers, I learned incredible lessons in cooking and in life:
“When you make a mistake, don’t be afraid, you adapt.”
“We experience life with all of our senses.”
“Find the bones, then just follow the bones.”
(This is advice for filleting a fish, but I think it applies to life as well.)“Even if you don’t know all the words, you have to take a chance – and speak.
Now, I’m excited to bring that inspiration home – and share it with others in the Twin Cities metro area.
My approach is to embrace simple recipes, and include touches that are at least a little bit surprising to the taste buds and to the eye. I want you to leave the table feeling like you had an interesting experience.
My purpose is to provide people with opportunities to linger with others over food, enjoy spending time, and not fussing over the food.

Why Fuchsia
I learned in French culinary school that food is both delicious and beautiful. A plate can be transformed from just food to an experience when flavors and appearance are unexpected. Returning home, I had a new obsession with herbs and edible flowers. I grow many varieties in my kitchen and on my patio – and have even been known to nibble on buds in the market – to ensure they not only look pretty, but taste good too. Fuchsia is an edible flower with a sweet taste, and interesting shape and eye-catching color.
